Building Floor to Ceiling Shelves : Closet Storage Cabinets

Measure the height of your wall from floor to ceiling. Cut two planks and two strips to match this dimension. Measure the width of the floor to ceiling tension shelves, or wall section, you want to cover with your shelves. Cut planks and stripes to match this dimension, cut as many as you need to build the number of shelves you want. For best results, aim for a shelf per 12 to 18 inches of vertical space. If you want to cover more than 36 inches of wall surfaces, build multiple devices to avoid rinsing. Sand all faces in your work. If you want to paint or paint the wood, apply your first coat now and wait to dry.

Install shelves

Locate wall rails on the part of the wall that you want to cover. Mark his place with a pencil. Place one of your wide strips on the wall where you want the shelves to be.
