End of bed chest – Although the clutter haunts all the rooms of a house, it is in the bedrooms where we tend to accumulate more in a disorderly manner. And, is that sometimes it does not matter how organized we are with our things. If we do not have enough storage areas to store all our clothes, shoes, accessories, sheets or books, chaos is invincible! The cabinets are essential pieces in any bedroom that is consider comfortable and functional. However, they are usually not enough. What can we do then to solve this need? Depending on the shape of our room and the available space we will find different pieces. As we mention in the introduction, the cabinets are essential pieces. However, the design of some turn them into pieces that are not as functional as they could be.
This work shows us what a closet should look like to be as practical as possible. End of bed chest at the foot of the bed may be the best option for those who do not have much space for tall pieces. This is the case of this attic bedroom, where a bookcase or cabinet support on the wall would have been difficult to place. We chose this horizontal piece, which also completes our bed. Perfect for storing shoes, sheets or clothes from other seasons. This large chest lends us a hand on the storage issue without losing too much space. Alternatively to the comfortable, we can place a chest of drawers like the one shown in this image. Horizontal and low-rise, this piece is perfect for those who prefer a piece of furniture that rests on the wall.
In this case, this attic bedroom needed a piece as describe since its sloping roof did not allow many other alternatives. Made to measure with American oak, the end of bed chest gives us a solution to the storage of very varied things. From books, discs, clothes or accessories, and on its other side it offers us a surface like a bookcase. If space is not a problem, having an alternative dressing room is the best solution to the storage problem in the bedroom. However, not all of us have the available square meters to build one. A corridor or a hall can then become an improvised one, we just need to build a built-in wardrobe. And give it the right lighting. In cases where the space is narrow, the target can get us out of trouble, and make it gain amplitude, at least for our eyes.
